As the 2012 London Olympics draw nearer, reliable accommodation will be difficult to find and when found, will probably be expensive. With a flood of Olympic athletes, trainers, organisers and broadcasting partners coming in to London to stay for the Olympics, there will be about 50 percent less accommodation available in the city. Leisure customers coming to London for the Olympics will be taking up a large remainder of the available hotels and accommodation; it is estimated that there will be only about 18,000 rooms available after Olympic athletes and visitors have taken up residence in London. This means that only about 15 percent of London accommodations will be available for business travellers.
As emphasised by Arvi Kaur, VP of Reservations at House of Modern Living, “Despite our proximity to the Olympic Venues in terms of our Accommodation offerings in Canary Wharf and the City and this Olympics offering us very good short-term commercial opportunity, our focus remains our well-established and loyal corporate client base.”
House of Modern Living Serviced Apartments has vowed to continue to commit to its established corporate partners by underpinning their business continuity where accommodation is needed. Not only could this concern, albeit reduced, numbers of inbound travellers but also the potentially different needs at that time of their locally based employees due to anticipated local travel disruption.
House of Modern Living Serviced Apartments have proven with great success to be a preferred option for corporate travellers in the City and Canary Wharf for mid to long stays, offering the much quoted but true ‘home away from home’ experience of a serviced apartment.
“We are currently working with our existing corporate clients, mapping out critical business needs over next Summer and planning early in order to ensure all is in place as soon as possible in a cost-effective, structured and timely manner to ensure UK Plc keeps working” said Arvi.
Due to the mid to longer stay nature of the serviced apartment guest, the Olympics is, in many ways, not a key focus for many operators. More important is the continued client loyalty as regards their longer stay clients and relocates, the latter being a key client of the sector in the Summer months.
“Of course” says Arvi, “like everyone else we are also looking forward to thoroughly enjoying a fantastic and successful sporting spectacle, and naturally rooting for British athletes and the City of London!”

Without a doubt, the present age mobile network has made tremendous headway into establishing worldwide connectivity, thereby raising the expectations of your family friends, clients and colleagues to be available on phone 24 X 7 wherever you may be. The dynamic International business traveller may find the rates of International mobile calls and data use staggering but he certainly cannot afford to remain out of the ambit of his network for too long.
Being aware of the rates of your service provider for their local or international services, helps you use the most economical method of communication. How your phone carrier meters your calls, sending and receiving text, International roaming, sending audio and video content and Web access allows you choose the most cost effective options. Save yourself the trouble of buying a new local number when travelling to another country to reduce local and home calling costs. Get tech-savvy and adopt the Internet, the cheapest form of communication. With so many new smart phones and apps in the market, accessing the Web ‘on the go’ is easier than it sounds.
Most smart-phones support Wi-Fi, which is much cheaper than mobile networks. So it makes perfect business sense to connect to a local Wi-Fi hotspot and exploit the many Voice-over-IP options. With almost all serviced apartments providing complimentary Internet access (Wi-Fi), you can easily plug-in various devices in the comfort of your home-away-from-home as well.
Many players have jumped onto this latest bandwagon and created applications to provide VoIP services in the most user-friendly manner. Skype was among the first to introduce free computer-to-computer voice and video calls between any two locations in the world requiring just an Internet connection. You can also make unlimited calls from your computer to mobiles and landline phones anywhere in the world using Skype at charges as low as €9.99/month. Choose a monthly Skype subscription depending on your requirement and further cut down on your calling / SMS costs.
In US, Canada and UK, Vonage is another option where your calls are routed via the Internet instead of expensive phone lines with the advantage of being able to call from your regular cordless phone instead of opening your computer.
With the ever-extending tentacles of Google entering the mobile network, Android VoIP is the new name of the game. Android mobile phones can download SIP clients like SipDroid, Acrobits, Bria and Skype2.1 for Android from the Android Market, which will then route your calls through Wi-Fi or 3G Internet connection allowing you to make free crystal-clear phone calls to other VoIP users or very cheap phone calls to anyone else in the world.
Making fewer calls is no longer an option for reducing costs but making smart choices will definitely help you increase your profits, as every penny saved is a penny earned.

The common thread that runs through all Gurgaon serviced apartments is their credo – to provide a comfortable, safe and secure and luxurious stay in the most up-market locations of the city. Whether a single traveller, a business delegation or a family, everybody can expect many times the value and service offered by a 5-star hotel. In fact, there is no compromise on these essential attributes, even though the cost borne by the guest is just a fraction of the tariffs charged by hotels of equivalent standard.
Uncompromising Quality; Exceptional Service

You are welcomed by the style and finesse of a beautifully-decorated, well-furnished private apartment that oozes warmth and character from every pore. Walk into the lounge, and the incredible range of must-have utilities and electronics makes your heart soar like a party balloon.
The Plasma/LCD screen with DVD console, wireless networked surfing, user encoded electronic safety locker, ISD telephone, 24-hr running water and 100% instant power backup are just the beginning. Attention to detail is ubiquitous when you admire the crockery and cutlery, utensils and other stunning details in the fully-equipped kitchen.
Your ecstasy will know no bounds when you enter the cosy bedrooms with large, sunlit windows comprising a sprawling, comfortable bed and spacious personal storage. The modern bathroom is just as inviting with a private Jacuzzi and bubble bath providing the perfect end to a long hard day.

London budget serviced apartments are fast becoming the most popular choice among corporate travellers from across diverse industries, sectors and destinations. The spacious, well-maintained, elegantly designed and fully-furnished accommodations in the city of London give travellers a truly rewarding experience without fancy prices.
The Perfect Combination of Quality and Affordability
Serviced apartments in London are where you are assured of luxury and service and that too in the city’s most exclusive residential areas. Each of these buildings brings together a fine range of comforts and amenities combined with personalised services. It is an indulgence par excellence within the spacious comfort of an affordable serviced apartment.
There is also a massive assortment of apartments to choose from, ranging from cosy studio apartments to expansive four-bedroom apartments. But regardless of the size, each serviced apartment is designed and furnished to the highest possible standards. Separate living and dining areas, fully-fitted kitchens and attractive bedrooms are just perfect for those looking for style and space on their business trips.
The exclusive luxury is taken to a completely different level when guests experience the exceptional services offered by these apartments. No, we are not referring to the leisurely breakfast on the terrace or the cocktails in the lounge. All this definitely acquires immense value when you team it with services like 24-hour reception, broadband access, laundry, dry cleaning and maid service, and sometimes even fitness centres, steam and sauna.
Yet another reason for this unstinted patronage is the unrivalled location of the serviced apartments. Guests are within walking distance from many of the city’s popular attractions and shopping hotspots. You can access the rich and vibrant history and culture of London through all the museums, operas, theatres and restaurants at your doorstep.
Isn’t it patently obvious why London serviced apartments make great business sense?

The UK serviced apartments industry experienced an immense growth in 2010, with several members of ASAP (Association of Serviced Apartment Providers) reporting an increase in occupancy and overall revenue generation in London and other areas as well. In London alone, ASAP members reported a 3% increase in occupancy levels taking the average occupancy for 2010 to 89%; the highest growth was reported between the months of July and September.
MoLi, a well-known member of ASAP and an established serviced apartment provider in Europe, with several serviced apartments in Canary Wharf and other areas of London, enjoyed almost full occupancy rates throughout the year. MoLi’s collection of Canary Wharf Serviced apartments, especially, experienced the most growth in comparison to the other collections, with most of the guests being business travellers visiting the financial district for meetings or short-term projects.
According to a survey held by MoLi, most guests staying in these serviced apartments found the location most convenient. The highest scoring point was the proximity to the Canary Wharf financial district, with the convenience of having fine dining establishments and shopping malls close by coming a close second.
The third most scoring points were the in-house facilities and MoLi’s services at the serviced apartments in the Canary Wharf area. Another highly appreciated point was the ease of access from these serviced apartments to the Canary Wharf Tube Station and the DLR translated to an easy commute and freedom from traffic to just about all parts of London for most guests.
MoLi’s Central London serviced apartments also enjoyed good occupancy rates, though they were a little lower than the Canary Wharf serviced apartments. To book a MoLi serviced apartment in London, contact the MoLi Reservations Desk at US: (+1) 646-915-0433 or UK: (+44) 203-051-6819.
